National CSEA/SCÉA Conference: May 3rd-5th, 2018.

This year the CSEA is Taking Action in Winnipeg!
Taking ACTion, Human Rights in Art Education is about ways in which our art making practices, art theory, studios, schools and community practices can make a difference in peoples lives. Winnipeg is in a state of transformation. At this conference you will have the opportunity to witness these changes through visiting both new and established Winnipeg cultural institutions including:

• Canadian Museum for Human Rights
• The Winnipeg Art Gallery
• Plug-In Institute of Contemporary Art
• The Fort Garry Hotel
• The Exchange District

Professional Development opportunities for Art Educators will include:
• Networking with Art Educators from across Canada
• Discussing new curricular initiatives in Art Education
• Developing inquiry-based art projects for your students
• Attending art exhibitions during ‘First Fridays’ in the Exchange District
• Attending a graduate Art Education student research symposium
• Participating in the Saturday night Art City Extravaganza Fundraiser Event
